Windows Virtual Desktop – how is the AD domain part supposed to work?

We have Azure and O365 and use Azure AD Connector since our users are on-prem AD accounts.
I’m trying to setup a Windows Virtual Desktop in Azure but I’m confused on the domain joining part. It asks for a domain name, an OU, a UPN and a password.
Is this referring to the on-prem domain which will require a tunnel through our firewall that lets the resource group connect to our AD to join the computer to our AD? There aren’t any OUs in Azure AD, to my knowledge? But I’m not seeing anywhere in any guides on anything about an OU or AD environment specifically for a Virtual Desktop.
