How to call sysdate, getdate(), now() in Azure Cosmos Db

I am trying to call the function of today in Cosmos db but I’am failing to do so. Even when I tried to create the function manually. Is there any way of doing this in Cosmos Db ?

function now() {

return new Date(); }

SELECT udf.now(), c.userEmail, c.projectExpirationDate, c.resourceGroup FROM c where c.projectExpirationDate < udf.now()
