Looking for guidance on the best way to organise and retrieve a large number of images from Blob Storage

I’m currently working for a company that deals with a lot of images, they receive on average 200 images per day from approx 200 cameras. These images are stored in Blob Storage with the structure of https://myaccount.blob.core.windows.net/mycontainer/myblob/UserId/CameraId/ddmmyyyy/image#.jpg

I’m currently building a Web portal for them to do a number of things, one of which is to display a selected days image in a gallery format with an eye for future development on letting the user download Bulk images, perhaps over a few days.

I’m currently using Umbraco and my idea was to create a webhook event once an image lands in the Blob Storage container that would ping over some data to my Umbraco instance via an ApiController with Url, Create DateTime etc. then i can use the built-in Umbraco indexes to index all of the information for fast search.

But it seems like i’m missing a trick and their must be an easier or more efficient way to do this, I use Azure mostly for VM’s so i really want to be more efficient and use it to it’s full capabilities.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
