Express route deploying peering error

This is my first time setting up Azure. I deployed a new express route and troubleshooted for about three days. I can ping Azure end but BGP wasn’t coming up and routes weren’t working either. I thought it was my network, checked QnQ, BGP for errors. Tried different routers. I had a ticket open and tech support couldn’t find any problems. I eventually found health tab and discovered there was a peering error. Nothing specific to remediate it. I redeployed the peering and connection. That fixed it. Is this common? Wanted to share my first experience with Azure.
