We are intending to use azure blob storage for keeping copies of completed contracts for an extended period (7+ years). New contracts will be added daily, so it needs to be writable.
It looks like there are some nice retention period options to ensure that no files get deleted from this container, however we are wondering what options exist for backups?
Traditionally we are used to doing full monthly backups of our file servers, is there any equivalent in azure storage? It seems like the best option would be to perform a copy of the entire container to a separate ‘backup’ container every month, as long as we need to keep the data. Or something that periodically copies all new files over to a separate storage account, in the event that something happens to the main one.
