Remember MySQL query result if MySQL DB unavailable?

Hello all,

I’m working on a system where I do fairly simple selects and return on a single result. I’m looking for a way to remember in the programs state the query results in the event MySQL is unavailable, and maybe from a performance perspective remember and return the same result if the last query was less than X seconds “ago”.

Any suggestions on what I do here? I’ve looking at briefly at doing some SQLLite thing, but that seems way overly complex and silly.

Thanks so much for your thoughts!
