I’m going to start auditing/analysing a C# codebase for some software that is currently having performance issues. I’m not new to C# but I mainly working in Python these days. So I wanted to get some advice on what I should look for in terms of bad standards and common performance issues in C# code. I think the codebase is a few years old now and might be outdated in terms of structure and the latest .NET Framework. Any advice is appreciated.
