I am maintaining two internal tools we use at work, one i written in mvc5 and the other one is written in rails.
When i use the applications i feel like the response times are faster on the app written in rails, i have to admit it could be placebo because i have not made a real benchmark. But i have asked a colleague about this and he agrees with me.
Both applications a pretty small and simple, they are also similar in design. The app is written in mvc5 does not use any dependency injection or service and repository layer, all of the crud logic in written in the controllers with some business logic in private methods in the controller classes.
The rails app is written in a similar nearly identical way. Could it be that in someway rails have a faster response time with a small load while mvc5 is much more capable to handle big loads with even performance?
