Can Someone Walk Me Through Deploying A .Net Core Website Cheaply

Hey .net,

I am presenting at a geoscience conference next weekend and have a site working on my local machine. I have a free trial with Azure and don’t want to break the bank deploying this website.

I need to host it on a remote server because I can’t host it on my work machine. Should I use IIS or Apache to do this? Do I need to spin up a Azure VM? Do I need to use other services on Azure?

I have found all kinds of tutorials but this seems like a situation where I am suffering from information overload – I want to have it deployed by tomorrow. Can anyone help walk me through this? Seems like azure is estimating the site will cost 100-200+ dollars a month to run, it’s just a simple database so I don’t see why that is necessary.
