Where I work they overrode the razor engine. Basically when you save a .cshtml file it generates a .cs file filled with Response.Write calls for the HTML supplied. They claim it's faster and easier to have everything compiled and run from memory. While I'm sure it's probably easier, (especially when it comes to manual deployments), I'm not familiar enough with this aspect of ASP.NET to know for sure. I've tried Googling but haven't had much luck, so any insight or resources would be appreciated. Thanks.
