Do developers that use .NET stack earn less than other developers that use other (possibly more trendy) technology?

Is it true that .NET developers get paid less than developers that use more trendy technology like Django, Rails, Full stack JS? If I would like to ever work at a start up at say, Seattle, would I be at any disadvantage if I work with ASP.NET MVC and wanted to apply for a start up job as opposed to Ruby on Rails or NodeJS or something that's more open source? I feel I've seen that is what start ups like to use. Thank you guys.
